About Horris Tse

From his very first “batch” of code at age six, Horris has been perfecting his recipe for software. Over two decades, he’s built desktop and web “dishes” with care and creativity. In 2000, he added a new spice to his repertoire: AI research. Two years later, while studying engineering at the Chinese University of Hong Kong, he founded the city’s first AI society (AISU), driven by a bold vision of how artificial intelligence could shape every discipline — opening new possibilities while raising important ethical and legal questions.

Horris spent nearly a decade driving digital transformation at Fortune Global 500 companies in Asia. His regional and headquarter roles made him a trusted expert in technology adoption for corporates.

In 2015, Horris co‑founded WeMine — now WeMine Labs — a testing kitchen that began with chatbots and has since expanded into a full menu of big-data and AI applications.

Always experimenting with new flavor profiles, he also launched Buds Never Stop, an AI startup dedicated to crafting personalized culinary recommendations tailored to each palate.

A Master’s graduate in Applied Data Science from the University of Michigan, Ann Arbor, Horris is a seasoned speaker who plates up bite-sized AI insights on stages around Asia — inviting learners to savor each concept and leave hungry for what comes next.
